Description

Mavis's ideal home

Mavis is a sweet 5 year old Terrier cross. She can be a little wary of new people but given time and space, she quickly comes round. Mavis would like to be the only pet in her new home, she doesn't want much from other dogs and would rather choose to stay away from them so quieter walking areas are preferred. Mavis hasn't had much experience around young children but can live with sensible children aged 12+ pending successful introductions. She can be vocal when she sees visitors approaching the home and can jump up in excitement, so she ideally needs an area where she can go while visitors enter and exit the home.

Could you be Mavis's perfect match?

Mavis is a loyal girl who loves nothing more than walking in the forest with her owner. She is currently happy being left for a few hours and will snooze on the sofa with the radio on. If you can offer a terrier like Mavis a loving home, please fill out one of our online rehoming applications. If you are shortlisted for Mavis, please be aware she may be home with you within a week.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
