Description

Maisie's ideal home

Maisie is an endearing little lady with a lot of love to give. Aged almost three-years-old, she has bundles of energy and is best suited to an active home, with adopters who could fill her life with fun and adventure. Being a super smart lady who loves to learn, she’s also keen to find a family who have an interest in reward-based training and who could keep her brain busy. We haven’t got any information on Maisie’s history around children, and due to being ‘head-shy’, as well as snatchy around food, we feel she would best be suited to a home with older teens who could read her body language. Maisie prefers the company of calm dogs, who she can mooch alongside gently but isn’t a fan of big and boisterous types. She will require further socialisation to build her confidence around dogs and will need to be the only pet at home.

Could you be Maisie's perfect match?

Once you’ve built a relationship with Maisie, she’ll become increasingly affectionate and will love to snuggle up next to you for gentle fusses. However, her potential adopters should be mindful that she isn’t keen when people lean over her or pat her head. She’s a very playful pooch and lights up at the sight of her toys, so would love a big toy box to choose from in her new abode! Maisie will make an excellent companion to a family who wish to take their dog exploring on lots of lovely walks.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
