About This Dog for Adoption

Shaw's ideal home

Shaw is a lovely little 3 year old Jack Russell who arrived with us with very little history. He's currently learning all about life in a foster home and is slowly finding his paws. He has built a close relationship with his carers and does struggle if he's left alone, so would like to find a forever family that can be with him most of the time and gradually build up any time being left. He is slowly figuring out his housetraining but will need some extra guidance before he masters it. He loves food and will try to scavenge anything left out, so it's important things are kept out of his reach and stored safely away. Archie really loves meeting his doggy friends and would possibly benefit from living with a doggy friend to learn from. He can be a sensitive boy who can find new things a little bit scary and overwhelming so we think he would be best suited to living with older teenagers in his new home. He would love a peaceful and quiet home with his own safe and secure garden where he can play and explore without the pressures of the big wide world.

Could you be Shaw's perfect match?

Shaw is a lovely boy and we think he will blossom once he's settled into his forever home. He's started showing his cheeky side and he will bring lots and laughs to his forever family.

Ritchie

  • 13 years old

Ritchie's ideal home Ritchie is an older chap looking for a fresh start. He’s a friendly chap who has been really happy to meet new faces here. Ritchie absolutely loves to play and can be a bit protective of his toys. For this reason he’s not going to be one to live with young children. Secondary school age kids would be fine as long as they’re sensible with him though.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
