Jimmy's ideal home

Little Jimmy is a 7 year old Terrier Cross. He can be a little worried and so would love a home with a secure garden of his own where he can play and have an outside space to help build his confidence. Jimmy could join a home with another dog, pending successful meets at the centre and could live with children of secondary school age who are sensible and can appreciate Jimmy's nervous nature. Once settled, leaving hours could be gradually introduced. Jimmy is a friendly boy but can be worried when first meeting people and so visitors to the home should be kept to a minimum while he is settling in.

Jimmy came into us with very little background information. He is a very sweet boy who loves a tasty snack and a snooze in a comfy bed. Jimmy can be worried by handling but if you allow him to come to you and take things slow you will see him start to build his confidence around you. You can tell he wants to say hello and have a fuss and a cuddle but he needs to be allowed to do this in his own time. Jimmy walks nicely on lead and has been housetrained at the centre, though he may need a refresher with this once in a home. Jimmy is such a sweetheart and with a family willing to help him build his confidence and give him the time and love he deserves will be rewarded with a lovely little companion.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
