Description

Biscuit's ideal home

Biscuit is a sweet, senior chap, aged nine. He loves nothing more than being around people, lapping up all the attention and having a fuss, especially a tickle under his chin! Biscuit enjoys his walks but would prefer to explore in relaxing areas, away from busy roads as he can be worried by heavy traffic noise. Biscuit has lived with children previously with no issues, and we feel he would best be suited to a home with sensible children of 8 years old and above, who will let him rest if he takes himself away for a nap. Biscuit has never lived with another dog, and he may struggle sharing affection, so he needs to be the only pet. He does enjoy meeting dogs out and about but can be selective about who he wants to meet and make friends with. Biscuit is house trained and prefers to keep his kennel clean at the centre. He’s also great at travelling in the car and travels well on the back seat with a seat belt attachment and he will lay down and sleep on longer journeys. Leaving him alone at home could be built up gradually to 4 hours but should only be done once he is fully settled into his new environment.

Could you be Biscuit's perfect match?

Biscuit truly is an adorable pooch who will make a fantastic companion to adopters who can shower him with the love and relaxing lifestyle that he deserves. He’s a keen snoozer and you’ll often find him taking himself off to his bed to snuggle up. Biscuit enjoys food and prefers soft treats to hard chews, which he’ll happily accept from any humans wishing to make friends with him.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
