Description

Billy Bob's ideal home

Billy Bob is a sweet older gentlemen who has found himself with us for no fault of his own and is now searching for a peaceful and quite retirement home. He loves the quiet life and enjoy a gentle potter followed by some snuggles and snoozes (watching his favourite TV programmes of course!) Billy has been in a home previously where he is happy being home alone and was housetrained. He can bit a little noise sensitive and can find fireworks and loud noises a bit scary, so will need owners who can be understanding of his worries. Billy could share his new home with another calm dog following a successful meeting here at the centre. Billy Bob can be a bit of a worried boy, so would be best suited to older children of 14+ who can understand his worries and give him any space he might need. He can find meeting unknown people a little scary, so his forever family may need to visit him a few times before he's ready to pack his yellow bag and head off home. Billy still has lots of love to give to his forever family and would love to find his paw-fect retirement home!

Could you be Billy Bob's perfect match?

Billy Bob is currently on medication with will need to be continued in his forever home. Our Adoption team would be happy to talk you through his needs and will help you see if you could be Billy's perfect match!

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
