Description

Piccolo's ideal home

Piccolo has started his search for a quiet home with adopters who are after a new best friend and a number one chilling buddy! He can be initially anxious around new people, and therefore would require a home with minimal visitors to help him feel safe in his new environment, and any children in the home should be 16 years or older. Piccolo can be worried when mixing with other dogs that are a bit intense but can happily share his home with another dog of a similar size and playstyle pending successful meets here at the centre. When being left, Piccolo will sit and wait by the door for your return, but doesn’t show any signs of stress, so his leaving hours can gradually be built up to 2-4 hours in his new home with plenty of positive reinforcement. He absolutely loves exploring the world around him, and settles really nicely in the car, so active adopters who can take him to exciting new places would really benefit him. Piccolo doesn’t have any training under his belt, so adopters will need time and patience to teach him everything from his name and sit, to housetraining. Piccolo will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying.

Could you be Piccolo's perfect match?

Meet 1 and a half year old Jack Russell Terrier Piccolo! Piccolo is a bouncy little man with bundles of energy and a big personality that will make you smile on a daily basis! He is the perfect little shadow to his favourite people, and wants nothing more than to be near you (or on top of you!) at all time.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
