Description

Rue's ideal home

Rue is looking for a home as the only pet and where any children are over 16. She is house trained and can be left alone for a couple of hours once settled in.

Could you be Rue's perfect match?

Rue is a very active little terrier who would like to find a family that can keep up with her! She's only four years old and has bags of energy and she loves to play fetch. She really likes it if the ball bounces a few times before she can get to it! Rue has quite a high prey drive and is always on watch, so care should be taken when she's off lead or in areas where there is wildlife. She's very happy to approach people and is friendly, but she'd much rather be off adventuring than sat on someone's lap! Rue is generally not that interested in dogs in the distance but she doesn't like them approaching, and prefers to be walked in quiet areas. A family that is willing to put in a little training to make walks easier would be ideal for her. In her previous home, Rue hasn't had any contact with children, but she did growl at children passing by the window, hence her higher age for children in the home.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
